Smokey is a pick-up truck and the owner of Smokey's Automotive Service. He was also the crew chief of Doc Hudson during the latter's racing days.

Smokey is a Piston Cup team owner and the best dang mechanic in town. He also helped put Thomasville and a rookie called The Fabulous Hudson Hornet on the map back in the 1950s.
